I like Twitter a lot. It’s a good place to network, touch base and keep up with what’s happening in the world. But my motivation for using Twitter is predominantly related to business. I’m a freelance consultant, after all, and part of what I do means drumming up more business.
To clearly signal to my fellow tweeps that I’m a business, I’ve retweeked my avatar this morning.

If you look at the following three alternatives, the simple shot of me is personable but lacks context. It doesn’t say “business”.
The middle option is part of my logo but logos per se don’t have much personality.
So I’ve settled on the final picture to the right which combines my mug shot with my logo: personable, personality, and a business context.
