About Jon Buscall

jon buscall

I love helping people communicate more effectively in English, particularly if that involves the web.

After nearly ten years working as a university lecturer, specialising in writing, I started freelancing full-time in 2005 from my base in Stockholm, Sweden.  Over the years I’ve moved increasingly into digital marketing and copywriting as I’m passionate about the way first class writing online is essential to connect businesses, people, information and knowledge.

I’ve produced:

  • articles
  • advertising material
  • brochures
  • blog installations (Wordpress, Movable Type, and ExpressionEngine)
  • blog copy
  • creative briefs
  • digital copywriting
  • PowerPoint & Keynote presentations
  • web copy, optimized for keywords (search engine optimization)

Clients include: Stockholm University, Internationella Engelska Skolan i Sverige AB, Internationella Engelska Gymnasiet Södermalm and Stone and Tree.

In addtion, I also provide the following services:

About This Site
I started blogging at greynotebook.com in 2000 after fiddling around with LiveJournal in the late nineties. During the years I worked as a lecturer at Stockholm University, my weblog was used to connect the work I was doing with teaching and my students. I let the Grey Notebook slide into obscurity when I left the university in 2004 and have been fiddling around with Jontus Media / Jon Buscall.com since then. As of August 2008, the focus of this website is a creative space to think about web-writing and web-publishing.

I switched to ExpressionEngine after WordPress dumps several years of my archives.

Connect With Me
